Well, our family is back together
once again. We have always
tried to do things together (travel,
school, work, etc.), but this
schedule was a little different for
us. We still traveled and
worked, but not completely together.
If I can, I'll try to explain the
past two weeks without a lot of
detail. Then I want to give
you a little heads up on my blog for
next week. So here goes...
October 31 was Halloween which we
spent as a family making costumes
and enjoying a fun fellowship with
our church family. On November
1, we started going our separate
ways. Sonny traveled to Illinois to
speak that evening while Tim P.
traveled to Arkansas to spend time
with the rest of the family.
Bryson and Tim left on November 2
for Charlestown, IN. Sonny
spoke that night in Latona, IL.
Bryson and Tim attended chapel on
the morning of November 3 at
Portland Christian in Louisville,
KY, while Gabriel and I traveled to
Calhoun, IL, to be with Sonny who
spoke that night in Latona, IL.
Bryson and Tim also traveled to
Berea, KY, that evening.
Sonny
continued to preach in Latona, IL,
each evening through November 6,
plus Gabriel and I stayed with him
in Calhoun, IL, and went to hear him
speak on the 4th and 6th.
Bryson and Tim stayed in Berea, KY,
with Norman and Arlean until the
morning of the 6th. (On the
4th, Tim conducted a devo for the
teen class in Berea.) On the
6th, they traveled to Sellersburg,
IN, where Tim spoke at an after
school event. They stayed that
night in Charlestown, IN, then spent
time in New Albany, IN, on the 7th.
Sonny
had November 7 off, so he rested
while Bryson and Tim traveled to
Tell City, IN, that afternoon. Sonny began a
revival in Calhoun on Sunday,
November 8. Bryson and Tim
spent all day at the Lily Dale
congregation. Gabriel and I
stayed with him until November 9,
then we traveled back to Arkansas
while Bryson and Tim traveled to
Calhoun, IL to be with Sonny.
Gabriel and I spent November 10 with
my parents; Sonny, Bryson and Tim
stayed in Calhoun, IL, until
November 12. In the meantime,
Cathie went to Illinois to visit
friends on November 10, then drove
to Calhoun, IL, where she stayed
with Ashley D. and heard Sonny speak
that night.
Then
on November 12, they all left
Calhoun. Bryson, Tim and
Cathie came back to Arkansas, while
Sonny traveled to Berea, KY, to be
with his parents (whose health is
not very good at this time.)
Gabriel and I were excited to
briefly visit with Bryson and Tim
that night. Early the next
morning (November 13), they left
Arkansas (along with Cathie, Beth
R., Nathan and Noah H. to pick up a
van and some more teens) and
traveled to DeRidder, LA.
Sonny stayed in Berea, KY, until
Saturday (November 14).
Bryson, Tim, Cathie and the rest of
the crew came back to Arkansas on
Sunday (November 15).
So,
finally, we are all back together in
one place! Was that confusing?
It was for us. If it weren't
for cell phones, I'm not sure if we
would have known what was going on
and who was supposed to be where!!!
But, thankfully, we are all in one
place and everyone is happy and
safe.
Even
though those two weeks were hectic,
at times, and it was confusing to
keep up with one another, a lot of
good things happened. Many
hearts were touched with God's
message, one person was baptized,
others were encouraged to keep the
faith and not give up! By our
family being in more than one place
at one time, we were able to reach
out to more people and, hopefully,
bless their lives.
Thanks
to all of you for keeping us in your
prayers! We certainly need it
every day, but especially when we
are on the road.
Oh
yes, I told you I was going to tell
you a little about next week's blog.
I have been working on a blog about
marriage. I know this is
probably not the right approach to
life, but I've been putting it off
because I didn't know what to say or
how to say it. Anyway, God
keeps nudging me to write something,
so I've been working on it.
Lord willing, I will be able to
share it with you next Monday.
Please pray that it will be helpful,
encouraging and convicting.
